“Professor Abdullah Antepli co-hosted “Combatting Antisemitism and Islamophobia: Best Practices in Challenging Times,” a recent conference at UC San Diego. During the conference, he shared insights on effective strategies and the importance of fostering dialogue to address forms of hate in academic, political, and social settings. He remarked that “Hate has a long incubation period… Every hate manifests differently and we have to defeat each type of hate differently. I hope this increased attention recognizes we didn’t arrive here in one day and the solution will not be around the corner.”
