Professor Nick Carnes, co-author of the book “The Politics of the Marvel Cinematic Universe,” offers his view on this movement towards maintaining political and cultural relevance. He tells the Wall Street Journal, “The whole political project of the MCU is designed to move people gradually towards more inclusion” and advocating for inclusive politics while navigating “fears about family-friendly backlash.”
