Professor Aaron Chatterji on Economic Policy and the Presidential Election, Bloomberg Television

Professor Aaron Chatterji spoke to David Westin on the Wall Street Week Daily on the economy and economic policies facing the U.S. presidential election. He states that we have seen inflation start to moderate, growth reaching the highest rate in the US in the past two years, and a strong job market. He says this indicates we are “moving more towards a soft landing that many folks thought would be unlikely than we are towards a recession.” He argues that the biggest question preceding the 2024 U.S. presidential election is, “do we continue that trajectory or is there a disruption that’s more significant?”
