Title IX changed the face of higher education. It remediated the exclusion of education from the earlier Civil Rights Act and made sex discrimination in education illegal. This series will provide historical context of Title IX and feature Duke alums and faculty who have been impacted by its history. It will also highlight the successes of Title IX, as well as the continued challenges it faces including, but not limited to, disparities in athletics and STEM.
