On Monday, November 3rd, the Civil Discourse Project and The Lemur: Duke’s Big Ideas Magazine hosted another Foundations seminar on political philosophy. Students form across Duke’s campus gathered to discuss Cicero’s masterwork, On the good life. During the event, sponsored by the Civil Discourse Project and The Lemur: Duke’s Big Ideas Magazine, twenty or so students gathered to debate and discuss everything from the meaning of happiness to relationship of the individual to the community.
